RPS expanded into Jefferson in 1994 in the Birmingham and Hoover areas with two (2) ambulances. The county is located in the north-central portion of the state and encompasses 1,119 square miles. Population in the 1990s was an estimated 651,525. Presently the population has grown to over 667,018 and we have expanded on December 25, 2007 in Jefferson County in the cities of Forrestdale, Graysville, and Adamsville. We now have ten (10) ambulances serving Jefferson County.

Marion County
RPS expanded to Hamilton, AL in Marion County in October 1995. This would be and still is the smallest run volume company in all locations. Working with a break-even budget, this is an example of the loyalty RPS has to each of these areas not to close or pull out of low volume areas. Opening in this area with one (1) ambulance and an average of only 2.6 to 3.8 calls per day RPS has been loyal to Marion County. The county is located in the north-western part of the state and encompasses 743 square miles.
Population in the 1990s was an estimated 29,830. Presently the population has grown to over 31,809 and we still have one (1) ambulance serving Marion County with many loyal employees.
